What we collect

When you send a quote request we receive:

• your name, email address and, if you give it, a phone number
• what you describe about the part: sizes, material, quantity, dates and notes
• if you choose shipping, the ZIP or postal code to ship to (we ask for the full address only once you accept a quote)
• any files you attach, such as 3D models, photos and drawings
• how you found the site: the page you first landed on, the referring website, and any campaign tags in the link

We use this only to answer your request, quote the job, make the part and follow up about it. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Where it is stored

Requests and files are stored in Cloudflare R2, a private storage service, and are only accessible to us. Cloudflare encrypts them at rest and in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep access limited to the people who handle your job. We get an email with the details of each request so we can reply quickly, and you get a confirmation with your reference.

Once you have a request in, we keep a job record in Cloudflare D1, a private database: your name and email, where the job stands, the quotes we send, your answer and any reason you give for declining, payment dates and amounts, how you found the site, and a log of the emails we send you.

Your quote link

Quote emails include a private link where you can see the quote and approve or decline it. The link is long and random, we store only a scrambled form of it, and it works only for that one quote. The page is kept out of search engines and analytics, and it does not show your email address. Anyone you share the link with can answer the quote, so keep it to yourself.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and uploaded files are deleted automatically after about 12 months. Job records and the quotes in them follow the same schedule unless you become a customer; then we keep order records as long as we need them for accounting and taxes. Emails about your request, including the notice we receive, stay in our inbox while we need them to follow up on your job.

Your files and designs

Files you send are used only for your job. We never share them, sell them or reuse them for anyone else. We will not post photos of your part or project without asking first.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. The only outside services that handle it are Cloudflare (hosting, storage and spam protection), Resend (sending request, quote and approval emails), Google Workspace (our inbox), PostHog (analytics, described below) and the carrier if you choose shipping.

Analytics and spam protection

This site sets no cookies of its own. It keeps a small record in your browser's local storage of how you first arrived and how you last came back: the page you landed on, the referring website and any campaign tags in the link. It is used for up to 90 days, and removed on your first visit after that. When you send a quote request, it is saved with your request so we can see how customers find us, and removed from your browser; a new one starts on your next visit. It is never sent to advertising platforms.

This site uses PostHog to count page views and clicks and to see which pages lead to quote requests. It sets no cookies, keeps its data in memory only, stores nothing in your browser, builds no profile of you and does not track you across other sites. When you send a quote request, it receives a few details that do not identify you: the kind of request, whether it is for a business (and the type of business, if you chose one), how you want the part delivered and how you first found the site. It never receives anything you type into the quote form. Like any website, it receives your IP address, which it stores with page views and uses to estimate your approximate location. The quote form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam; it checks your browser for signs of a bot and does not use advertising cookies.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child has sent us a request, email us and we will delete it.

Deleting your information

Email support@bend3dworks.com with your quote reference or the email you used, and we will delete your request, files, job record (including how you found the site) and the emails about them. We will confirm when it is done. If this notice changes, we update the date at the top.
