What does the part have to survive?

Recommended material by requirement
Requirement	What we'd use	Why
Indoor, general use	PLA, PETG, TPU	Anything we print holds up indoors. PETG is the tougher choice for parts that get handled a lot.
Outdoors, in sun and weather	Ask us	PLA softens in summer sun. Tell us how much sun and weather the part sees and we'll say whether PETG or TPU will hold up.
Flexible	TPU	TPU is rubber-like, for bumpers, gaskets, grips and feet.
Heat	Ask us	PLA softens in a hot car. Tell us how hot it gets and we'll say whether PETG or TPU will hold up.
Impact	PETG, TPU	PETG and TPU give a little before they break, so they survive knocks that crack PLA.
Stiffness	PLA	PLA is the stiffest material we print, for parts that must not flex. Keep it out of heat and sun.
Oils, fuels and chemicals	Ask us	Tell us what the part touches and how often, and we'll say honestly whether anything we print will hold up.

PLA

Prototypes, fit checks, display and visual parts.

Crisp detail and stiff, but softens in a hot car or in direct summer sun. Not for outdoor or load-bearing use.
PETG

Durable everyday parts: brackets, clips, housings, organizers.

Tougher and more heat tolerant than PLA, with some flex before it breaks. Our default for functional replacement parts.
TPU

Flexible parts: bumpers, gaskets, grips, feet, strain reliefs.

Rubber-like and abrasion resistant. Slower to print, so it costs more than rigid materials.
